Standard web server logs (IP address, requested page, timestamp) may be retained briefly by the hosting provider for security and abuse prevention.

Personal automation tools

This page also serves as the privacy policy for small personal automation tools operated by the site's author (Durk Jellema) under this domain, including tools that connect to the author's own Google account through Google's OAuth 2.0 authorization flow (for example, an email assistant referred to as "gmail-mcp").

Who uses these tools: only the author, for their own accounts. They are not distributed to or used by the public.

Data accessed: with explicit consent granted through Google's own consent screen, a tool may read, search, draft, or send email, or read calendar or Drive data, within the scope the author has approved for that connection.

How the data is used: exclusively to carry out actions the author directly requests (for example, reading a message, drafting an email, checking an appointment). Data is never sold, shared with third parties, or used to train models.

Storage: an OAuth refresh token is stored locally on the author's own device to keep the connection active. Email, calendar, or file content is not stored, logged, or transmitted elsewhere by the tool.

Revoking access: access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, which immediately and permanently ends the tool's ability to reach the account.
